The second phase of ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign will be launched in Assam’s Lakhimpur district on November 29.
The aim of the ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign is to ensure that no person is left to be vaccinated for Covid19 during the vaccination exercise.
This was stated by Lakhimpur deputy commissioner Sumit Sattwan in a press conference on Sunday evening.
Speaking to the media, deputy commissioner Sattwan said the Har Ghar Dastak campaign will continue till December 5, 2021.
Sattwan said, “There will be individual monitoring of vaccination drive on the basis of prior research list in the district.”
“A verifying team consisting of administrative and medical personnel will make lists of left-out and reluctant persons for vaccination,” the Lakhimpur DC said.
Har Ghar Dastak is a campaign to carry out house-to-house Covid19 vaccination of people, who are yet to take a dose and those whose second shot is overdue.
There are 911 polling stations for Covid19 vaccination in this campaign, of which 76 have been identified for special focus for less vaccinated centres in the district.
Lakhimpur district has been divided into 32 zones and 79 sectors for this campaign.
Speaking at the press conference, Lakhimpur superintendent of police, Bedanta Rajkhowa said about 4,000 people were identified as reluctant persons for vaccination in the Dhakuakhana sub-division of the district.
He further said strict action would be taken against fake news concerning vaccination.
