Assam government is organizing a handwritten essay competition ‘If I become a soldier’ for the students of classes VII-X as a mark of tribute to the brave soldiers of India ahead of the 73rd Independence Day celebrations  this year.

The last date for sending the handwritten essays is August 15, 2019.

The essays can be written in English or in Assamese. It should be written within 300 words and must not contain plagiarized content.

The page numbers should also be clearly written by the participant.

The participants should write their names, addresses, contact numbers and school standards at the beginning of the essay.

For submitting the essay, one should go to the Do section on the official website of MyGov Assam.

By clicking the link for the handwritten essay competition given in the Do section, one can upload the scanned copy of their essay in the comment section present below.

The top five participants of the handwritten essay competition will be awarded with certificates of appreciation signed by Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
