Along with the rest of the country, to mark the 149th birth anniversary celebration of the ‘Father of Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi on Tuesday, MyGov Assam also organised an event which featured a street play.
As part of the prgramme titled ‘Gandhijir Batere’, organised by MyGov Assam, a street play was conducted in Guwahati.
The street play was performed by the students of Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya.
MyGov Assam also made an arrangement of a live art session by Arth Art for Humanity in the city
Informing this, MyGov Assam on its Titter handle stated on Tuesday: “To mark Gandhiji’s birth anniversary, MyGov Assam today conducted ‘Gandhijir Batere’, an event featuring a street play by students of Mahapurush Sankardev University and a live art session by Arth Art for Humanity in Guwahati.”
Inspired by the ideals of Gandhiji , the programme was organised as an initiative to establish social and moral values on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the ‘Father of the Nation’.
By organising the street play, MyGov Assam tried to create awareness on cleanliness among the citizens of the city.
Live art session by Arth Art for Humanity also attracted the people of the city.
