Copy of 'Winged Horse' being gifted to Assam CM

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday assured every possible support from the government to expedite works of Dr Bhupen Hazarika Foundation.

Sonowal met Bhupen Hazarika’s son Tez Hazarika and grandson Sage Akash Hazarika on Wednesday and briefed them about the foundation.

In a tweet, Sonowal said, “Glad to meet Shri Tej Hazarika and Shri Sage Akash Hazarika, the son and grandson of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika in Guwahati. Sudhakantha’s immortal legacy is our heritage. Assured every possible support from our Govt to expedite works of Dr Bhupen Hazarika Foundation.”


Dr Bhupen Hazarika Foundation (BHF) is a not-for-profit social trust, which was established to channel the creative energy Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika triggers, perennially.

The main objective of BHF is to create environments that can empower people and stimulate innovation through value building projects rooted in diverse communities across the socio-economic spectrum.

Copy of the book ‘Winged Horse’- having 76 of Bhupen Hazarika’s songs translated to English- was also presented to Sonowal by Tej Hazarika.
