The Gauhati University (GU) inter college arm wrestling (Men and women) championship concluded successfully on Monday at the Phanidhar Dutta Hall of Gauhati University.
The championship was organized by GU Sports Board in association with PGSU, GU. Around 30 arm wrestlers from different affiliated colleges under Gauhati University participated in the championship.

The men champion of champions trophy was bagged by Pritom Boro of Gauhati Commerce College where as women champion of the Champions was bagged by Rosni Jabin of Nowgong College.
The medals and trophies were distributed by Prof Nani Gopal Mahanta; registrar i/c Dr Ranjan Kr Kakati, director, students’ welfare, GU; Dinesh Ch Kalita, dy DSW, GU.
Prof Mahanta in his speech congratulated all the winners and offered best wishes to explore themselves as good achievers in national and international level. He also hoped that such type of events will find out some hidden talents from nock and corner of different affiliated colleges under Gauhati University and the winners will get a chance to play forthcoming inter university arm wrestling championship.
