The Bajali police chief informed that an old man complained that his ATM card was replaced by a person in an ATM kiosk and more than one lakh was withdrawn from his bank account a few days back.

“They divert the minds of innocent people to loot money,” the Bajali superintendent of police said.

Police said the frauds replace ATM cards of the customers with similar ones available with them, who seek help from other people in an ATM kiosk.

Later, the culprits confessed to having committed such activities in Pathsala and neighbouring areas before the people.
