Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday congratulated B L Santhosh for being appointed as the national general secretary (Organization) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Sarma hoped that the senior RSS leader’s ‘wealth of experience, vision, organizational capabilities’ will be helpful for the party for the successful accomplishment of its tasks.
He stated on his official Twitter handle, “My heartiest congratulations to Sri @blsanthosh ji on being appointed as National Gen Secy (Organisation)of @BJP4India. His wealth of experience, vision, and organisational capabilities shall immensely help us all.”
A press release issued by BJP national general secretary and headquarter incharge stated, “BJP national president Hon’ble Shri Amit Shah Ji has appointed Shri B L Santosh joint general secretary organisation as national general secretary organization of the party. The appointment comes into immediate effect.”
Santhosh was in charge of four states – Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Goa- while serving as the joint general secretary organisation of the BJP.
The Karnataka based politician is the successor of Ramlal who served as national general secretary organisation of the BJP for 13 years.
Apart from the finance minister of Assam, other BJP leaders of the Northeast also congratulated Santhosh through their social media profiles.
