Carcasses of at least two elephants were recovered on Sunday morning in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park.
The carcasses were recovered near Dolamara in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park along the Karbi Anglong landscape.
The reason for the deaths of the two jumbos is yet to be ascertained.
There have been several instances of deaths of elephants in Assam in recent times.

On December 1, Rajdhani Express mowed down two elephants at Khetri near Guwahati in Kamrup Metro district.
A wild jumbo got electrocuted to death in central Assam’s Hojai district on November 16.
Meanwhile, on October 28, an adult male elephant, aged around 30 years, was poisoned to death in Assam’s Udalguri district.
