A large numbers  of projects  execution has been completed and some are  underway on different areas of cancer.

Dibrugarh: Dr Gayatri Gogoi Professor of Assam Medical College Hospital and Adjuct Scientist of  ICMR, honoured with Dr Badan Ch kro  Memorial Award for Dedicated Humanitarian Service during the programme of Golden Jubilee Celebration of Sadou Asom Mahila Somaroh at Koliabor on Monday.

Dr Badan Ch Kro was an alumnus of 1963 batch AMCH , hailed from Karbi Anglong and retired as Director of Assam Health Services.

Dr Gayatri doesn’t need any introduction,  known for her extra ordinary zeal to serve helpless and downtrodden section of society and her association with Pratishruti cancer and Palliative Trust for people of Assam.

She received many National Awards for her  distinguished research  contribution in the field of cancer  research.

The latest one being the Pratishruti Suchitra :Save from Breast cancer project started by application of recently certified  on her name a “design patent of breast cancer screening model”.

Gayatri received the award from Dr Subarna Saikia. Manumoti Kurmi, President and Secretary of  Organizing committee, Geetanjali Das Kro and Dr Silpi Kropi of  family sponsoring  the  award  in presence of hundreds of authors as audience. 

Dr Gogoi hopes that this honour not only inspire her to continue  but also those working relentlessly in this field of  humanitarian service.
