Dibrugarh: In a major boost for Assam, particularly Dibrugarh, global hospitality major Marriott International has announced the signing of Courtyard by Marriott Dibrugarh, marking the entry of an international hotel chain into the city.
The upcoming hotel, to be developed in partnership with Tulip Estates and managed by NILE Hospitality, will be located at Chowkidinghee in the center of the city.
It will feature 75 rooms and suites, along with a swimming pool, banquet facilities, and a rooftop dining venue, catering to both business and leisure travellers.
The project is seen as a landmark development for Dibrugarh, strengthening its position as a key gateway to Northeast India amid growing infrastructure, tourism, and commercial activity.
Speaking on the signing, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of NILE Hospitality, said: “We are truly excited about the signing of Courtyard by Marriott, Dibrugarh. The hotel, which is likely to commence operations before Durga Puja this year, is expected to enhance the quality of hospitality services in the region and meet the growing demand for world-class accommodation in Upper Assam.
