Assam’s Dhubri district has reported 105 new Covid19 positive cases in the last 24 hours, according to the district health services.

In the last 24 hours, 31 more people were discharged taking the tally of recoveries to 91 in Dhubri district.

The number of active cases stood at 468 while four people have died during the second wave of Covid19 so far.

Till Sunday, a total of 88,356 people have received Covid19 vaccines.

Out of 88,356 people, 67,730 have taken the first dose while 20,626 people have got the second dose of Covid19 vaccine in Dhubri district.

According to health officials, 2,165 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 36 RT-PCR tests were conducted in the district on Monday.

Meanwhile, although the district administration had directed to maintain social distancing, made wearing face masks mandatory and repeatedly appealed to the people to strictly follow Covid protocols,the people and shopkeepers are seen flouting the social distancing norms even in Dhubri town.

On Monday, a total of 29 people died of Covid19 across Assam taking the state’s death toll to 1,389.

The Covid19 deaths were reported from as many as 11 districts in Assam on Monday.

On Monday, Assam reported 4489 Covid19 positive cases.
