In a surprising case a patient from Delhi arrived in Silchar after he failed to get proper treatment in the state capital on account of the huge rush of Covid-19 patients.

When they consulted doctors, they were advised to keep the lady at home.

However, she suffered from brain stroke and the family immediately contacted a relative at Silchar, who is also a doctor.

The relative advised them to air-lift the patient and bring her to Silchar for immediate treatment.

The patient was eventually flown in to the private hospital at Silchar on Friday.

“The patient was flown into our hospital on Friday. Doctors here are trying their best to provide the best possible treatment to her. Currently her condition is said to be stable,” said Rudra Narayan Gupta, managing director of the Green Hills Hospital.
