The Dhubri district administration has imposed restrictions on use of drones and other flying objects around the airspaces above the installations of all CRPF camps across the district and declared the camps as ‘No drone flying zone’.
The decision has been taken due to security reasons.
The order, issued by Dhubri deputy commissioner Ambamuthan MP, said: “Perused the report submitted by the Dy. Superintendent of Police (HQ). Dhubri vide his letter No- DSB-X/16-S/2021/1646, dtd 18/12/2021, and considering the prevailing situation of security measures, the airspaces above the following installations of CRPF in Dhubri district are hereby declared as “No Drone Flying Zone” for security reasons.”
“Operations of Unmanned Aerial vehicles/Remotely Piloted Aircraft system (Drone) in those areas will be strictly governed by the New Drone Policy/Drone Rules, 2021 issued by the Govt,” said order.
The restriction order further said: “Use of Unmanned Aerial vehicles/Remotely Piloted Aircraft system (Drone) by private individuals has been restricted near the/above the said military installations.”

“Flying over such a zone will attract a penalty, and other actions under relevant sections of law including confiscation of drones without any liability may also be taken,” the order said.

As per the order, the airspace over the four CRPF camps across the district installed at D.I.& C.C. Complex, Gauripur as Hqr/48 BN CRPF Camp and C/48 BN camp at Super Market under Gauripur PS; A/48 BN CRPF Camp located at Super Market, Bilasipara under Bilasipara PS and, D/48 BN CRPF camp located at WIMCO premises under Dhubri PS respectively has so far been declared as “No Fly Zone” and flying of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) shall be strictly prohibited over and above these premises with immediate effect.
