Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) on Saturday ( August 3) organised the Class-II umpire seminar cum examination at its stadium premises in the state’s capital Guwahati. 

The two-day event, which started on Saturday and will continue till Sunday (August 4), represents a significant milestone in the ACA’s ongoing efforts to elevate umpiring standards in Assam, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ACA Pritam Mahanta said in a press statement.

The seminar was graced by ACA Treasurer Chiranjit Langthasa who welcomed approximately 150 dedicated candidates eager to enhance their skills, it added.

“We are delighted to host this seminar cum examination which will play a crucial role in shaping the future of cricket in our state,” said Langthasa. 

“We wish all participants the very best and look forward to see them excel in their umpiring journey,” he added.

The statement further said that these enthusiastic individuals will undergo a comprehensive programme designed to refine their expertise, followed by the Class-II examination which will be announced soon.
