Assam has registered 756 more COVID19 positive cases on Sunday, taking the state’s overall tally to 1,86,200.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status on Sunday said the new cases have been detected out of 13,123 tests in the last 24 hours.
“Alert ~ 756 #COVID cases detected out of 13123 tests today,” Sarma tweeted.
Health minister Sarma informed that Assam’s positivity rate for the day was 5.76%.
Sarma informed that out of the new cases, Kamrup Metro district reported 211 cases.
A total of 1,50,773 patients have recovered from the disease so far in Assam.
Assam currently has 34,675 active COVID19 cases, Sarma informed.
Assam recorded 14 more COVID19 deads on Sunday, taking the state’s death toll to 749.

Confirming the news, health minister Sarma in an earlier tweet said: “Very sad and anguished to inform that 14 more COVID positive patients have succumbed to the disease.”
