Assam has registered 43 new Covid19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 4,904.
Confirming the news of new positive cases, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status informed that the infected patients have been reported from 7 districts across Assam.

The health minister said Kamrup Metro district has reported 20 new positive cases while Nagaon has reported 8 cases and Udalguri district has reported 6 new positive cases.

Cachar and Majuli districts have reported 3 positive cases each while Sonitpur district has reported 2 cases and 1 positive case has been detected in Lakhimpur district.

“Alert ~ 43 new #COVID19+ cases recorded in Assam. 20 Kamrup(M), 8 Nagaon, 6 Udalguri, 3 Cachar, 3 Majuli, 2 Sonitpur, 1 Lakhimpur,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
On Thursday, Assam has recorded a total of 210 positive cases.
Earlier, a total of 2,848 have recovered from the disease and were discharged from various civil, district and model hospitals across Assam after they tested negative for the virus.
On Thursday a total of 194 Covid19 patients were discharged in the hospitals in Assam after their recovery.
With the new cases, Assam currently has 2,044 active Covid19 cases.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 9 persons in Assam while 3 cases migrated from the state.
