Assam Congress likely to announce Gaurav Gogoi as candidate from Titabor constituency

The Assam Congress is likely to announce Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi as its candidate from the Titabor constituency.

Titabor constituency has been a stronghold of the Assam Congress.

The Titabor constituency was represented by former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.

Gaurav Gogoi’s name has been doing the rounds as the candidate from Titabor constituency ever since his father and former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi passed away in December last year.

As per sources, with elections inching closer, Gaurav Gogoi’s name has almost been finalised as candidate from the Titabor constituency.

Notably, Gaurav Gogoi has emerged as one of the most instrumental leaders of the Assam Congress in ensuring that party comes together ahead of the elections and put up a strong fight in the Assam Assembly elections.
