Assam: Congress hosts consultation meet for Lok Sabha poll manifesto

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) is holding a public consultation meeting for preparing the manifesto of ensuing Lok Sabha elections in Guwahati on Monday.

The consultation meeting will be hosted in association with the research department of the Indian National Congress (INC) and will be held by former Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma at Bishnu Nirmala Sabha Griha in Guwahati on Monday at 3 pm

The theme of the consultation meeting is ‘Centre-state issues, regional issues, migration and border-states.’

bobbeetaA statement jointly issued by Bobbeeta Sharma, general secretary and senior spokesperson of APCC and Ranajit Mukherjee, secretary of the research department of AICC has asked individuals or with members of associations, community and trade to actively participate in the consultation meeting and offer suggestions and inputs so that the manifesto of the Congress party for the upcoming general elections reflect the ‘aspirations of the people of Assam and the Northeast.’

The statement further added that even after conclusion of the consultation meeting, one can visit the website manifesto.inc.in to give inputs directly to the manifesto committee.

The consultation meeting is being held as desired by AICC president Rahul Gandhi across the country to obtain inputs from the public to prepare the manifesto of the Congress party for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
