Guawahati: Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota on May 6 held a high-level review meeting to evaluate preparations for the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected NDA government, scheduled for May 12 at the Veterinary Field in Khanapara, Guwahati.

The event is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states, as well as representatives from various industries.

Chaired by Kota along with the Director General of Police, the meeting focused on arrangements for the Prime Ministerโ€™s visit and the oath-taking ceremony of the new Council of Ministers. Discussions covered security arrangements, traffic management, venue readiness, protocol compliance and coordination between departments.

In a post on X, Kota said the administration has instructed all departments to ensure smooth execution of arrangements with strict protocol adherence and strong inter-departmental coordination.

He added that all departments have been asked to maintain top-level preparedness to ensure the ceremony is conducted smoothly, securely and in a manner appropriate to its importance.
