Noted Professor Jitendra Nath Goswami from Assam said Chandrayaan 2 will be launched in the next four to five months.
Chandrayaan 2, is the second version of the Chandrayaan satellites after Chandraayan-1, the lunar satellite which discovered evidence of water molecules on the moon.

Professor Jitendra Nath Goswami , who is associated with successful launches of Chandrayaan 1 and Mangalyaan satellites, confirmed this at a talk on ‘India’s planetary exploration programme’ at the annual lecture programme of the Dibru College in Dibrugarh on Thursday.
At the programme, the scientist, also a recipient of Padma Shri and the Asom Ratna Award, explained about the history of India’s space exploration programme through a power point presentation and also gave a brief description on how satellites were launched.
Prof Goswami also said that the Indian Space Research Organiztion ( ISRO) is working for the successful launch of Chandrayaan 2. He said,” “In my opinion, it could be launched in the next four to five months. However, those on the mission will know the exact date”.
