BJP leader and former MLA – Emmanuel Mosahary has filed his nomination papers for the by-polls to the Tamulpur Assembly constituency.

Emmanuel Mosahary filed nomination for the by-elections as an independent candidate.

Mosahary filed his nomination papers before the Returning Officer (RO) in Assam’s Baksa district on Thursday.

Mosahary said that he is ready to face any disciplinary action that BJP might take for going against the party’s decision to not contest in Tamulpur.

“If the party takes any disciplinary action, I have nothing much to comment,” Emmanuel Mosahary said.

Resentment and dissatisfaction seems to be brewing among BJP workers in Tamulpur constituency after the BJP left the Tamulpur seat for its ally United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL).
