As Assam Assembly elections inches closer, the State is likely to witness more Modi-Shah visits.

With the Congress putting up an aggressive campaigning drive across Assam, the BJP is banking on Modi-Shah duo to counter the grand-old party’s possible resurgence in the State.

As many as 6 rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been planned by the BJP in Assam.

On the other hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Assam and address rallies on at least 5 days.

These rallies of PM Modi and Amit Shah is likely to begin from next week and will continue till jthe end of this month.

According to reports, Amit Shah is likely to visit Assam on March 14, 15, 17, 21 and 23.

On the other hand, while Modi is likely to address 6 rallies in Assam, the number of rallies of the Prime Minister would rise “depending on the demand and the ground situation”.

While, the Congress is depending on its Chhattisgarh model to wrest Assam from the BJP, the saffron party on the other hand is depending on its Bihar model to retain power in the State.

BJP leaders argue that during the Bihar assembly elections held last year, Prime Minister Modi addressed 12 rallies in which he covered more than 100 assembly constituencies which helped the party in a big way.
