The troops of the Chirang based Army unit of the Red Horns Division organized a medical camp under Operation Sadbhavana at the remote Nangalbhanga village of the district of Assam on Wednesday with an aim to render medical assistance and spread health awareness.

A team of five doctors from various disciplines including three Army doctors, along with paramedic staff and nursing staff provided their much needed expert consultancy.

Special teams from Leprosy, Malaria and Tuberculosis department also provided their services in the camp.

Vital medicines for various ailments prevalent in the area were distributed to all the needy people, who had turned up for the medical camp in huge numbers.

A total of 769 persons including women and children of Nangalbhanga (Kaila Maila) and nearby villages benefitted from the medical camp and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Army for the conduct of the camp.

The overwhelming response from the people is an indication of increased faith and confidence in the Army and its noble initiatives.
