The Assam Public Service Commission announces revised CCE 2024 results following reservation corrections, finalizing merit rankings and filling key posts across Assam government services.

Guwahati: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has declared the revised results of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), 2024 for recruitment to various services and posts under the Government of Assam on Tuesday, February 17, following the cancellation of the earlier notification issued on February 16, 2026 due to an unintentional error.

The revision follows government directives regarding the reservation of one post each for the Moran and Motak communities within the OBC/MOBC categories in Assam Civil Service (Junior Grade) and Assam Police Service (Junior Grade).

The interview viva-voce for the examination was conducted from January 20 to February 9, 2026, in the presence of experts deputed by the state government. The results were re-verified, finalized, and approved by the Commission on February 17, 2026.

A total of 45 posts were filled for Assam Civil Service (Junior Grade), including 11 reserved for Residents of Forward Areas (RFW), 2 for ex-servicemen, and specific allocations for OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), and ST(H) candidates. The reserved posts for the Moran and Motak communities have been accounted for within the OBC/MOBC category.

The Commissionโ€™s official notification recommends candidates in order of merit, taking into account reservations and preferences opted by the candidates.

Guwahatiโ€™s Nihar Ranjan Deka emerged as the state topper, securing first place in the Assam Civil Service (Junior Grade). Deka is an alumnus of the foundation batch at SPM IAS Academy. Rajnish Sarmah claimed the second rank, while Panchali Devi stood third in the state rankings.

This yearโ€™s CCE was conducted to fill a total of 288 positions across various Assam government services.
