Yogoda Satsanga Society (YSS) of India, a Ranchi-based socio-welfare cultural organisation has come to the aid of flood affected people of Assam.

The spiritual and charitable organisation recently donated household goods and utilities amongst nearly 7500 people from 2000 families in the flood-ravaged areas of Bhuragaon and Lahorighat in Morigaon District.

Jayanta Barua, a member of YSS said that volunteers from Yogoda Satsanga Meditation Centres of Guwahati and Tezpur travelled to the affected areas and distributed the materials amongst the needy.

He further said that the district administration including circle officer Chaitali Dutta, ADC Touhidur Rahman and the local police personnel helped in organising the systematic distribution of the goods.
