Guwahati: Azara Police have arrested advocate Bhargav Ramen Barman in connection with the alleged harassment of a woman lawyer at the Azara Revenue Circle Office in Guwahati, following a complaint by Anindita Das and directions from the Gauhati High Court.
The case concerns an alleged incident at the revenue circle office in which Das was reportedly harassed. She subsequently approached the authorities and lodged a formal complaint seeking legal action against Barman.
Das also approached the Gauhati High Court, seeking directions for the accused’s arrest. Police arrested Barman on Saturday following the developments in the case.
