The two-day autumn session of the BTC came to an end with a note of mission and vision of the present government, headed by chief executive member (CEM) Pramod Boro.
All five bills tabled on the first day of the session were passed unanimously for the Governor’s assignment.
Meanwhile, the ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) brought a motion against Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) MCLA Moon Moon Brahma of Porbhotjhora constituency for her insulting and derogatory remarks against BTC deputy chief Gobinda Chandra Basumayary and council administration on social media during the session.

The Speaker announced that action would be taken against her for her conduct as a member of the council as per rule.
On the first day of the season, MCLA Brahma attacked the Speaker and the CEM.
CEM Pramod Boro had to stand up and speak against her twice for her misconduct after which the Speaker strongly warned her not to repeat the same in the near future.
But she continued to insult the representatives of the ruling party on social media which prompted the House to bring a motion against her.
In Thursday’s session, various schemes, planning and implementation of schemes related to education, forest, health, water resources, irrigation were discussed at length.
Talking to newsmen, CEM Pramod Boro said the council administration has taken up various measures to bring peace and equal development among all sections of society.
He said the present government has been working against gun culture in order to establish a violence-free society where every person would be able to live without any fear.

He called upon the opposition members to join hands in bringing a peaceful atmosphere in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) to bring effective development.
Meanwhile, the leader of opposition Derhasat Basumatary said they were not fully happy over the discussions in the session.

He said the ruling UPPL used to attack the previous BPF-led government saying that the previous government paid maximum interest on supply work but the new government, led by Pramod Boro has set its eyes on supply within a short period of the new council government took charge.
He alleged that in their 10-month-old tenure, the present government has issued supply orders of Rs. 159 crore in health, P&RD, WPT&BC and education departments.
He also said under Udalguri Development Block, a sum of Rs. 11.11 crore is earmarked itself in a single block while other blocks did not get such amounts for development.
Basumatary alleged that as many as 92 tenders of various schemes were sanctioned in a single day under the same development block which is a clear indication of irregularities.
He also charged that the present government was even dividing the contractors of the region.
