Three persons were seriously injured in a road mishap at Ghogmari on Tamulpur-Nagrijuli-Udalguri Road under Tamulpur police station in Assam’s Baksa district on Sunday.
The road mishap took place at about 6 pm.
The injured have been identified as 40-year-old Kamal Rabha, 35-year-old Indira Rabha and 10-year-old Bhrigu Rabha of Mazgari village of Latibari under Tamulpur police station.
According to Kamal Rabha, riding a motorcycle, he along with his wife Indira Rabha and son Bhrigu Rabha was coming towards Dighilipar village of Tamulpur.
When they reached Ghogmari, then a four-wheeler vehicle coming towards Tamulpur from Kachubarii side hit the motorcycle in which all the three on the motorcycle were injured.

After the road mishap, the four-wheeler managed to escape from the spot.
The locals immediately informed the Tamulpur police station about the road mishap.
Receiving the information, a team of police from the Tamulpur police station reached the spot and rescued all the three injured.
All the injured persons were admitted to the Tamulpur Public Health Centre (PHC) and after providing primary treatment, all of them were shifted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for better treatment.
The investigation is going on to seize the four-wheeler vehicle by Tamulpur police.
In another incident of road mishap on Sunday morning, a leader of the Kakopather unit of the Moran Students’ Union (MSU) in Tinsukia died and three others were injured.
The road mishap took place at Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh near the Arunachal University of Studies campus at Namsai when the Alto car, in which all the friends were coming back home, after fuelling it at Namsai.
The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Pallav Jyoti Moran, secretary of the Kakopather unit of the Moran Students’ Union.
The injured are also active members of the Kakopather unit of Moran Students’ Union (MSU).
