Two persons lost their lives in two separate road accidents at Tamulpur in Assam’s Baksa district on Saturday evening.
The first accident took place at Ghogmari chowk near Tamulpur.
One Pankaj Madal of Ahiabari village in Tamulpur sub-division was returning home from market on his motor-bike when a speeding tractor rammed into him.
He died on the spot.
The deceased was a CRPF jawan.
The other accident took place at Ganeshguri of Kmarikata under Tamulpur police station.
One Orga Boro was returning home from Bhutan along Rangiya-Bhutan road on his motorcycle when he collided head on with a truck bound for Bhutan.
Boro also died on the spot.
The truck driver, however, fled from the spot after the accident.
