The police on Wednesday recovered a huge quantity of illicit Indian made foreign liquor from different ares of Biswanath district.
During a special drive against illicit liquor, the police conducted raids in Biswanath Chariali, Gohpur, Helem, Sootia and Behali.

A total of 1,044 bottles of Indian made foreign liquor were seized, of which 602 contained whiskey and 442 were beer bottles.

However, no one has been arrested so far.

The police also recovered t8 cartons of illegal Indian mad3 foreign liquor from Lepetapara under Halem Police Station on Tuesday.
