Dhubri recorded 101 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, taking the total tally to 5,198.
There are 947 active cases in the district at present.

So far 4,196 people have also been discharged from different hospitals in the district.
On the other hand, one more person succumbed to the virus on Monday, taking the district’s death toll up to 55 in the second wave of the pandemic.
The curfew in Dhubri will continue in the present manner as active Covid-19 cases continue to be high in the state.

The Assam government on Tuesday announced relaxations in curfew from June 18 in eight districts with lower number of daily Covid-19 cases.
In Dhubri district, all shops, commercial establishments, restaurants, dhabas, government and private offices will shut by 12 pm on all days, while the curfew will remain in force from 1pm to 5 pm on all days till June 22.
The eight districts namely South Salmara, Bongaigoan, Majuli, Chirang, Udalguri ,West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao and Charaideo have received more relaxation in curfew due to lower number of daily Covid-19 cases and active caseload.
