At least 10 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Assam’s Dhubri district on Sunday.

With this the total number of positive cases in the district reached129 mark and out of which 121 are active cases.

Meanwhile, the Dhubri district administration has intensified Covid-19 tests among the passengers at the Dhubri Railway Station in view of the rapid increase in positive cases.

The diatrict administration has also started such tests at Chagolia inter-state entry gate along the Assam-West Bengal inter-state border to detect people with Covid-19 infection entering the state.

At the Dhubri Railway station 29 passengers were tested, of who two female passengers were detected  with the infection.

Meanwhile, at Chagolia entry check gate ,a total 506 test were conducted and six passengers were detected with the virus.

All who tested positive have been permitted to stay in home isolation.
