As polling for the first phase of Assam Assembly elections ended on Saturday, Congress party has now shifted its focus to the second and third phase of polling.
The second and third phase of Assam Assembly elections are slated to be held on April 1 and April 6 respectively.
Leading the campaigning for the Assam Congress-led Grand Alliance for the second and third phase of Assembly elections in the State were All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) president Sushmita Dev and Rashtrya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejaswi Yadav.
Sushmita Dev and Tejaswi Yadav addressed a massive election rally at Ratabari in Karimganj district of Assam on Saturday.
Sea of people turned up for the Congress election rally at Ratabari, which was addressed by Assam Congress leader Sushmita Dev and RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav.
“Congress party’s vision for Assam is welfare for all. Our guarantees empower youth as well provide a social security net for our women,” said Sushmita Dev.

Meanwhile, Assam Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi is on a hectic campaign trail.
Gaurav Gogoi addressed as many as 3 public meetings – Diphu, Hojai and Bahrampur.
Huge crowds were witnessed in the public meetings that Gaurav Gogoi addressed on Saturday.
On the other hand, Assam Congress leader Rakibul Hussain on Saturday launched a direct and scathing attack on BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma.
While speaking to the media, Rakibul Hussain said that Himanta Biswa Sarma can go to any lengths to fulfil his political ambitions.
“Himanta Biswa Sarma can do anything to ensure that his personal political ambitions do not remain unfulfilled,” said Rakibul Hussain.
Meanwhile, the Assam Congress has exuded confidence that the grand-old party is heading for a landslide victory in the Assam Assembly elections.
The Assam Congress has said that signs on the ground indicate a landslide victory for the grand-old party.
