The Army has ordered a probe into ‘leaking’ of photographs and video footage of the flag meeting between the Indian Army and the Chinese PLA, held at the Line of Actual Control in Upper Siang district in Arunachal Pradesh last Saturday, to the media.

Quoting a defence source The Times of India carried a news report.

“The pictures and videos were taken on mobile phones. The meeting was conducted and the leaked photos and videos are not against the Army. But the question is why were these leaked to the media?,” a defence source told The Times of India.

The source added there were no civilians at the meeting between the personnel of the two armies on January 6, indicating that the pictures could have been leaked by Army personnel themselves.

It is interesting that the roller-coaster relationship between India and China was noticed in the recent past. The Doklam stand off on the Sikkim-Bhutan border between the two countries hit the global headline. Following this number of transgressions and face off on the LAC took place. The video footage of Doklam stand off was leaked by the army itself to media.
