Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi on Friday alleged that the present state government had sponsored the heinous killing of five Bengali persons by unidentified gunmen in Tinsukia on Thursday.
Akhil Gogoi suspected BJP and RSS were involved in the incident and said, “The killing was a planned conspiracy to divert attention from the main issues. Intelligence department had inputs. Either they did not inform the government or the government did not work on the information.”
While lashing out at BJP’s Hojai MLA Shiladitya Dev, Gogoi said such type of incident would not have happened if person like Shiladitya was controlled by his party from making provocative statements.
“His immediate arrest is necessary to maintain peace and harmony in the state. But, it is sad to say that the government has given tight security to Dev instead of preventing him from making controversial statements,” Gogoi said.
While making Sadiya superintendent of police and Tinsukia deputy commissioner also responsible for their failure to maintain law and order, Gogoi demanded suspension of both SP and DC.
“The police department has completely failed to maintain law and order in the state. BJP and RSS have been using the police department,” Gogoi said.
Gogoi further demanded chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s resignation from home department accepting his ‘failure’ to run the state law and order smoothly.
Gogoi demanded formation of an inquiry committee and a proper investigation into the case.
Gogoi also slammed All Cachar Karimganj Hailakndi Students Association founder president Pradip Dutta Roy for his controversial statement.
Roy had demanded either separate Barak or Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 recently.
