Assam has registered 302 new Covid19 positive cases, including 172 new cases from Guwahati city, in the last 24 hours.
With the new positive cases, the total number of Covid19 positive cases registered in Assam increased to 7,794.

Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status said: “Alert ~ 302 new #COVID19+ cases detected in Assam today. Out of these, 172 cases were reported from Guwahati City in last 24 hours.”

Earlier, a total of 5,333 people, who were infected by the virus, have recovered from the disease and discharged from various district, civil and model hospitals across Assam.
Assam currently has 2,447 active Covid19 cases while 3 cases migrated from the state.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 11 people in Assam.
“Total cases 7794. Recovered 5333. Active cases 2447. Deaths 11,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
On Monday, a total of 245 Covid19 patients were discharged from the hospitals in the state.
Sharing the news in an earlier tweet on Monday, Sarma said, “Glad to share that 245 more patients have been discharged today in Assam, taking our recovery rate to 71.2%. Kudos to health officials & doctors.”

Sarma said on Monday the Covid19 testing figures reached 4 lakh mark.
“Our efforts to contain COVID19 will be possible only when we have reached out to the last infected person, and therefore targeted testing is critical. Your cooperation is vital,” Sarma tweeted.
