As part of the golden jubilee year celebrations, the Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat, is organising an International Conference on Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainable Agriculture (ICCCBSA) from December 13 to 16.
AAU is organising the event in
collaboration with Professor HS Srivastava, Foundation for Science and
Society (PHSSFSS), Lucknow and co organized by Society for Environmental
Development in India (SEDI), New Delhi.
The conference is planned to create a
platform for international partners together with national partners to
formulate appropriate policy and research directions for achieving the climate
neutral goal.
The ICCCBSA-2018 aims to bring together all stakeholders in a single platform to share knowledge, academic debate and to highlight climate change,biodiversity, agriculture sustainability research and academic activities being carried out in Universities, Research Institutes, NGOs and corporate bodies across the globe.
As many as 1080 research papers from 200 institutes across the globe have been received so far. Delegates from 16 counties have directly registered for the conference.
International delegates from North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Middle East Countries, Russia, China, Japan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Australia and South Asian nations are ensured their participation.
More than 1200 participants are expected to participate in the conference, organising secretary Ranjan Das said.
