Assam police have arrested 1182 people so far for violating lockdown orders imposed in view of the coronavirus outbreak.
Moreover, 504 cases have so far been registered in the state for violation of lockdown orders.
For breaching lockdown orders, the police have also seized 5020 vehicles and a fine of more than Rs 17 lakhs have been collected till Monday.
15 cases have been registered so far for spreading fake news on social media and rumours related to COVID-19.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has been increased to 27 in Assam on Tuesday.
Till date, a total 36,691 passengers have been screened at different airports across Assam.
While 28,860 passengers were screened at LGBI Airport in Guwahati, 3,497 passengers were screened at Mohanbari Airport, Dibrugarh; 2,877 in Roroiya Airport, Jorhat; 1,262 in Kumbhir gram Airport, Silchar; 764 in Lilabari Airport, Lakhimpur and 114 passengers at Salonibari Airport, Tezpur.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases in the country increased to 4421 on Tuesday.
Out of these total cases, 114 deaths have been reported and 325 have been cured or discharged.
The Health Ministry have advised all the States to use funds under National Health Mission (NHM) and State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) to undertake all activities related with creation of quarantine centres, dedicated COVID-19 hospitals and other medical equipment, treatment of patients and all other activities related with management of COVID-19
