The Anti-Terrorism Squad of Maharashtra with the help of Assam Police arrested a youth from Assam’s Morigaon district on Tuesday evening.
According to media reports, the arrested youth has been identified as Brajamohan Das.
He has been arrested in connection with a case of threatening a player of the Indian cricket team.
Das is a resident of Dharamtul area in Morigaon district.
Media reports claimed that the arrested youth from Morigaon had sent emails to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in which he threatened to kill one of the players of Team India.
A case was lodged against the youth in connection with the threatening.
On the basis of the case, a team of Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad had contacted their Assam counterparts and with the help of Assam Police arrested the youth on Tuesday evening.
He was arrested from his native village at Dharamtul in Morigaon.
