With the flood situation becoming grim in Assam and affecting a large number of people, woes have only increased in the State with two persons losing their lives due to Japanese Encephalitis in the wee hours on Sunday.

The two persons who lost their lives due to the deadly disease have been identified as Kamruj Jaman and Tarun Bora.
Jaman (72), who hails from Turai village of Darrang district, has been undergoing treatment in Rahman Hospital of Guwahati from June 22.
Unfortunately, he breathed his last on Sunday.

On the other hand, Bora who hails from Parvati Nagar area of Tezpur died at 6 am on Sunday.
He was undergoing treatment in Guwahati.
According to reports, Bora was an employee of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Dhemaji.
Moreover, floods have already been causing large scale devastation in the State.
As per the latest flood report of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), in Assam flood 2019, a total of 28 districts have been reeling under waters and 26,45,333 people of 3,181 villages have been affected.
