Two jawans army were killed and three others injured in the road mishap at Rangapara.

Two jawans of Jakhlai regiment of Indian army were killed and three others injured in a road mishap at Nekerahola area on Rangapara-Balipara  road on Tuesday.

Official sources said the accident took place when a vehicle of the Army stationed at Phulbari in Rangapara in Sonitpur district, which was on its way to Rangapara town lost control and skidded off the road at Nekerahola area of the town.

Two jawnas identified as Dhyan Singh and Nasir ahmed Bhatt died on the spot. The injured jawans have been identified as Naresh Lal, Md. Afjal and Hussain Sah.

They were admitted to the Tezpur Army Base Hospital here.

The deceased were in hurry to board their train at Rangapara railway station as they planned to go to their home on leave.
