Flying through the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport at Borjhar on the outskirts of Guwahati in the New Year will be a pleasant experience for the passengers as the city airport has added two more aerobridges on the first day of the New Year.
With this, the congestion of the Airport will further reduce.
The two aerobridges marked as number O6 and 09 of which, one was opened by a divyaang child passenger and other by an arriving lady passenger in presence of D K Kamra, regional executive director of Airport Authority of India (AAI) on Tuesday at the airport.
The addition of two aerobridges at the airport will further smoothen the arrival and departure operations of the aircrafts and the passengers.
The LGBI Airport has a total of four numbers of operational aerobridges for arrival and departures.
Ramesh Kumar, Airport Director, Guwahati; senior AAI officials, security officials, representative of the airlines, CISF officials were also present on the occasion.
