Addressing a huge rally at the heart of Kolkata on Saturday, Shah said the National Register of Citizens (NRC) updating in Assam has been targeted for malicious propaganda by Trinamul Congress and its leader Mamata Banerjee.

The BJP president also asserted that no refugee (read Bengali Hindu) will be send back from India.

Hakim alleged that the BJP is segregating the migrants – a Hindu is a refugee and a Muslim an infiltrator.

The TMC had also took out a rally against the NRC on Sunday.
