A newly constructed market shed was given to Bihoguri Village in Tezpur, by Ujjivan Financial Services Limited as a part of its Community Connect Programme, Ujjivan ChoteKadam.
The shed was constructed in collaboration with Parinaam Foundation.
Bihoguri is a village in sonitpur District of Assam, with an approximate population of 1000 and around 400 families have access to the market shed in their locality. This market serves local marginal farmers who sell their harvests at a place with better hygiene in the market area. It will also improve the condition of the families.
The project was inaugurated by Kamal Prasad Bora, President- Local Business Committee, along with Jitendra Saikia, Former Principal, Bihoguri Boys High School, Chinu Patangia , Principal, Chandranath Sharma High School, Anjan Goswami, renowned social worker ,Purna Kt Nath, scholar and former head master.

Ujjivan Chote Kadam is a Community Development Program which comprises of projects addressing the needs of the community. The projects are dedicated in the areas of Public Infrastructure, Education, Environment, Health and Sanitation.
