Sanswrang Sports Club of Serfanguri, a local club, lifted the trophy of the 13th Kanakeswar Narzary Memorial Football tournament organized by the Ramfalbil Amchalik Sports Association in the final match held on Tuesday at Rupnath Brahma Memorial field in Kokrajhar defeating the rival Salbagan Sporting Club of Gossaigaon via tie-breaker.

The match ended 2-2 draw in the scheduled time but Sanswrang Club could win the trophy via tie-breaker.

The chief guest of the final match, Phanin Boro, Coordinator of Bodofa Mission For Sustainable Change, kicked off the match after having introduced with the players.

Local MCLA of BTC, Jatirindra Brahma, gave away the championship trophy and Rs. 20,000 in cash while former footballer of Assam, Rhino Mintu Basumatary, gave away the runners-up trophy along with Rs 15,000 in cash.

Former BTC MCLA Indra Mohan Brahma gave away the best player trophy and cash to Munna Basumatary of Salbagan Club, Gossaigaon.

It may be mentioned that the Ramfalbil Anchalik committee, ABSU in association with the RASA have been organizing the trophy in memory of founder Secretary of the ABSU late Kanakeswar Narzary every year.
