The Shamatore Bn of Assam Rifles, as part of its efforts against anti-national elements, apprehended two persons along with three pistols and other items in Tuensang district of Nagaland.
The Assam Rifles through its official Twitter handle informed that a team of the Shamatore Battalion of Assam Rifles, which is known as the ‘Sentinels of North East’, intercepted a vehicle at Yakur-KTC Road Junction in Nagaland’s Tuensang district.

On suspicion, the Assam Rifles personnel of the Shamatore Battalion apprehended two individuals who were coming in the vehicle.
During search in the vehicle, the Assam Rifles personnel of the Shamatore Battalion were able to seize three country-made pistols. Besides, two mobile phones and some Indian currency notes were also seized by the Assam Rifles personnel from the possession of the two miscreants.
The Assam Rifles on its official Twitter handle on Sunday stated: “Shamatore Bn, Assam Rifles intercepted a vech (sic) at Yakur-KTC Rd Junction, Tuensang distt, Nagaland; apprehended two indl (sic) with three pistol (country made), two mobile phones & some Indian Currency.”
