Assam Rifles kept the audience spellbound by the performance of its Jazz Band attired in traditional costumes.

The audience also appreciated the event that showcased the 184 rich history of the Force in the form of a stage performance titled ‘Assam Rifles Through the Ages.’

The event was inaugurated by the Minister of DoNER along with other dignitaries including Lieutenant General Sukhdeep Sangwan, director general of Assam Rfiles.

In his address to the gathering he invited people to visit the actual Northeast in remote areas rather than remaining confined to the perceived Northeast that remains restricted to Guwahati, Shillong, Kaziranga etc.

Participation of Assam Rifles paved the way for showcasing the relentless pursuit of the Force towards overall development of the North East region, the release added.
