Amid the inclement weather since the last couple of days, the organizers of different Durga puja committee across Assam’s Dhubri district are busy in giving the final touch of their respective puja pandals.

The Shanti Nagar Sarbojanin Durga Puja committee of Ward No 13 of Dhubri town is decorating their pandal on the theme of Pulwama terror attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s on February 14 early this year which had claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel.
Sushanta Saha, a local decorator of Dhubri town is recreating the pre and post events of the Pulwama attack with the life size cut-out and flex printing.

The welcome arch also has 40 life-size statues of the brave soldiers who had sacrificed their life for the nation will be displayed by using the digital technology with flexi prints.
A post incident scenario after the terror attack would also be created in backyards around the puja premises which will get the special mention, said Sushanta Saha.

Tarkeshwar Paul, a member of the committee said the main objective behind this creation is to pay homage to the brave solders of our country, who were killed in the recent terror attack.
Tushar Saha, senior member of the committee expressed concern over the water logging problems in and around the puja pandal premises due to heavy rains since last couple of days.

He has further made an appeal to the authority concerned to make necessary arrangements in a bid to drain out the storage water from the puja pandal premises at an earliest.
The air strikes in Pakistan’s Balakot were conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) after the said Pulwama attack.
Durga Puja is being held at 100 and above pandals in the town while the district has over 400.
