Assam Police on Monday arrested the prime accused in the Nagaon gang rape case of a differently abled woman in Kachua village of Assam.

As per reports, the accused person has been identified as Mukesh Ali who is a street hawker.
The lady who went for a bicycle ride was allegedly gang raped by some men last Sunday.
According to reports, the prime accused person had allegedly kidnapped her and taken her to an isolated spot about 12 km from her residence. Later, he called the other persons and they gang raped her.
When she did not come back at night, her parents alerted the police and villagers about her disappearance.
The lady who returned home herself the next morning informed her parents that she had been repeatedly gang raped by five men the previous night.
After a police complaint was lodged, the lady took the police officials to the spot where she was raped.
The police recovered all the items that were found at the spot and sent them for forensic tests.
The lady underwent treatment at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Institute of Mental Health in Tezpur.
The police officials said that the lady claimed that she did not know any of the persons who had raped her.
Last week, the police had arrested five persons involved in the rape case.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mofidul Islam, Mubarak Ali, Saidul Islam, Abdul Barek and Ziyabur Rahman.
