Bollywood singer from Assam Angaraag Papon Mahanta, who is also Smile Asia ambassador had a Smile Asia charity dinner in Singapore with Priyanka Yoshikawa, former Miss World, Japan and co-ambassador of Smile Asia, on Friday.
Informing this on his Twitter handle, Papon stated on Saturday: “Attended the Charity Gala Dinner 2018 for Smile Asia in Singapore with my co ambassador for Smile Asia Priyanka Yoshikawa, former miss world, Japan.”
Priyanka Yoshikawa has also stated on her Facebook page about her participation in the Smile Asia gala dinner in Singapore.
Yoshikawa posted on her FB account: “Went to Singapore for @smileasiaorg Gala Dinner 2018.
-Spreading smiles through a unique dining experience.”
Informing that she was in Singapore on the exact date where she was declared the international brand ambassador of Smile Asia, Yoshikawa stated that it was a wonderful journey for her.
“I was in Singapore the exact same day last year where I was announced as Smile Asia’s International brand ambassador. This one year has been a wonderful journey. I have learned so much and there are still more to learn. I hope through out my work I can bring more awareness and help restore as many smiles as we can.”
It may be mentioned that Mission Smile organised the 14th International Cleft Surgery Mission at Guwahati Comprehensive Cleft Care Centre (GC4), which was conducted from May 20 to 25, 2018.
The mission was inaugurated on May 20 in the gracious presence of Celebrity Artist – Angaraag Papon Mahanta and Miss Japan – Priyanka Yoshikawa (Smile Asia ambassadors) – who came to support the noble cause.
The team of doctors, nurses, coordinators and many supporters from Asia, USA and Germany worked hand-in-hand during the mission days. A total of 181 patients were screened and the team delivered 100 smiles through safe cleft rectification surgeries in 5 mission days.
